Crocodile Rocket

Crocodile Rocket is a unique and entertaining tribute to Sir Elton John, one of the world's most iconic popular music figures.   Crocodile Rocket stars classically trained musician Brenton Edgecombe backed by an all-star live band.  Brenton learned his first Elton John song at the age of nine while also studying the violin and once performed as Elton John backed by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.  He has often been mistaken for Elton John in airports, and even escaped a customs inspection on the strength of his “fake celebrity” status!  He will appear as an Elton lookalike in an upcoming episode of Open Slather on The Comedy Channel.

Brenton’s double edged career in both classical and pop music led to the formation of String Fever with his wife Jacqui in 1998.  String Fever are the recipients of five Australian Entertainment Industry MO Awards (including Variety Entertainers of the Year).

Brenton is also well known to animal activists for his character Vegan Smythe, whose YouTube videos have had over 285,000 views.  As Vegan Smythe, Brenton has performed at World Vegan Day, Cruelty Free Festival, Sydney Vegan Expo and VegFest UK (London) as well as warming the stage for World Peace Diet author Dr Will Tuttle on his 2014 Australian speaking tour.
