Melbourne Vegan Project

The Melbourne Vegan Project is a collective of animal rights activists who have banded together to create a local community volunteer network. This activist network will utilise an inclusive intersectional abolitionist approach, with the purpose of connecting, educating and communicating to all people living in the Melbourne community in order to end animal use and exploitation. The project is based on the philosophies of nonviolence, compassion and community wellbeing.

We hope to help create an increase in the number of vegans rejecting speciesism and opposing the use and exploitation of all animals, whilst campaigning within an intersectional framework. The Melbourne Vegan Project will increase awareness of veganism and how it benefits the wider community by creating an online centralised hub of vegan resources, activist tools, and academic theory. The project aims to remove barriers to becoming vegan and make veganism more accessible to the entire community of Melbourne.
